                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF MARKET STREET MORE PARTICULARLY
                   DESCRIBED HEREIN ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 5, 1990
                   WITH WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 10, 1990 AS THE
                   RAINOUT DATE FROM 9:30 A.M. TO 3:00 P.M. FOR
                   THE PRESENTATION OF "COMBINED FEDERAL
                   CAMPAIGN-UNITED FUND" SPONSORED BY THE
                   TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY UNDER CERTAIN
                   CONDITIONS.
                  
                  
                                                      
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of Market Street between 12th Street and 11th
       Street on Friday, October 5, 1990, with Wednesday, October 10,
       1990 as the rainout date, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the
       presentation of "Combined Federal Campaign-United Fund" sponsored 

       by the Tennessee Valley Authority provided that the sponsor shall 

       set out barricades and detour signs in accordance with the 
traffic
       control plan attached hereto and shall provide, at all times, an
       access lane for fire and other emergency vehicles.
